Questions
Everything about working with Sigma Solve, from our practice areas and technology partnerships to security posture, engagement models, and AI delivery.
Sigma Solve is a technology services firm that helps mid-market and enterprise companies modernize their core business systems and accelerate growth through technology. We specialize in six practice areas, AI & Automation, Data Engineering & Analytics, Product Engineering, ERP & CRM, B2B / B2C Commerce, and Cloud Infrastructure.
Unlike generalist IT firms, every person on our team is a deep platform specialist. We hold official partnerships with Snowflake, Microsoft, Salesforce, Shopify Plus, nopCommerce (Gold Partner), and AWS.
Our primary focus is mid-market companies doing $25M–$500M in annual revenue. These organizations have outgrown basic tools and need enterprise-grade platforms, but don't want Big 4 consulting rates or 18-month timelines. We deliver the same outcomes at 40–60% of the cost, in roughly half the time, with senior people who do the work.
We also serve enterprise clients at global scale (including Siemens and Trimble/e-Builder) and funded startups building production-grade platforms from scratch. Our engagement models flex to where you are, not where a large enterprise is.
Company
Our US headquarters is in Sunrise, Florida. We also have our offices in Melbourne, Ahmedabad and Pune as well. Our delivery teams operate globally, with deliberate EST time zone overlap for US clients to ensure real-time collaboration, not a hand-over-the-wall model.
Yes. We do not operate a bait-and-switch staffing model. The person you meet in the initial conversation either does the work directly or introduces you to the specific team members who will. We do not have a bench of junior developers waiting to be assigned to your project. Before you sign anything, we encourage you to meet the engineers who will work on your engagement. That conversation will tell you more than any slide deck.
Over 80% of our revenue comes from client referrals and partner-sourced introductions. In technology services, this is the single strongest credibility indicator available. Clients don't refer firms that burned them, it reflects earned trust, project after project.
Practice Areas
What are Sigma Solve's six practice areas?
AI & Automation

Cloud Infrastructure
AWS and Azure architecture, managed cloud services, GCC (Global Capability Center) setup, and HIPAA-compliant cloud deployments.
What are AI Accelerators and how do they benefit clients?
AI Accelerators are Sigma Solve's portfolio of reusable, pre-proven AI building blocks. Rather than starting every AI project from scratch, our Accelerators fast- track AI adoption with modules already validated in production. Core modules include:
- Document AI: Automated extraction from any document format (fax, email, image, PDF)
- AI QA module: Automated quality assurance on workflows and outputs
- Knowledge Copilot: Natural language search and Q&A over your organizational data
- Agentic Workflow: Autonomous multi-step process automation
The Mirror Principle governs all AI work: every capability we sell has been deployed and proven inside Sigma Solve's own operations first. No AI capability enters a client SOW without documented internal proof.
What is BrokerOne.ai?
BrokerOne.ai is an upcoming Sigma Solve's proprietary AI-powered platform built specifically for freight brokers by logistics industry veterans. It combines CRM, TMS, load matching, carrier vetting, and Document AI (automated BOL/POD processing at 85%+ accuracy) in a single system. It is purpose-built to help freight brokerages scale to $30M+ without proportionally scaling headcount, eliminating manual load posting, carrier vetting, and document handling in one platform. This is not a white-label product; it was designed, built, and is maintained by our own logistics engineering team.
BrokerOne.ai is best suited for freight brokers doing $2M-$30M with no TMS or a basic one running operation manually. For brokers already deeply invested in a TMS, we build custom AI and automation on top of existing infrastructure instead.
What do you offer for Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central?
Our Microsoft practice covers three pillars: Business Central ERP, Azure Fabric + Power BI (data analytics), and Power Apps + Power Automate (workflow automation). We are a certified Microsoft partner across all three.
If you are running Dynamics GP or NAV: Microsoft has moved all investment to Business Central. GP/NAV is on the sunset path, support is declining and qualified consultants are harder to find every year. We specialize in GP/NAV-to-BC migrations and can map a timeline around your fiscal year.
What is the difference between nopCommerce and Shopify Plus, when do you recommend each?
Shopify Plus is Sigma Solve's recommendation when speed-to-market is the priority - for DTC brands doing $1M-$500M+ in online revenue who want a managed, hosted platform with access to 8,000+ apps, fast international expansion (Shopify Markets), and headless commerce capability (Hydrogen/Oxygen). nopCommerce (where we hold Gold Partner status) is the right choice when you need: full code ownership with no monthly platform fees, unlimited customization without ecosystem constraints, complex B2B pricing rules (customer-specific, tiered, contract pricing) that Shopify cannot support natively, or self-hosted deployment for compliance or data sovereignty reasons. Total cost of ownership over 3-5 years is typically 30-50% lower than Shopify Plus.
Can you build a product from scratch if we don't have an internal engineering team?
Yes. Application Development is one of our four product engineering engagement models. We act as your full technology organization, business analyst, architects, developers, QA automation engineers, and project manager. You bring domain expertise; we bring everything technical.
Do you modernize legacy systems?
Yes, Application Modernization is a core engagement model. We rebuild legacy desktop or on-premises systems (VB6, VB.NET, legacy Windows forms, Oracle- backed desktop applications) as modern web platforms, preserving the workflows your team depends on while upgrading the technology underneath. Our ongoing engagement with McGrath RentCorp, a publicly traded industrial equipment rental company, involves rebuilding their legacy STAR ERP as a modern Angular/.NET web platform: 18-person team, 14,000+ estimated hours, module by module with UAT gates. Nothing goes dark until each module is validated and approved by the client.
What Snowflake services do you offer?
Our certified Snowflake practice covers: data warehouse modernization (migrating from Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, or on-premises Hadoop), data lakehouse architecture design, ETL/ELT pipeline development (dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, custom Python/Spark), data governance implementation, BI and reporting integration (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot), Snowpark development, Snowflake Cortex AI for natural language reporting, and performance/cost optimization for existing Snowflake customers.

Can you work with SaaS companies and tech-enabled businesses?
Yes, our Product Engineering practice specifically targets SaaS companies and tech-enabled businesses across all sectors. We run dedicated teams embedded inside SaaS product organizations (Trimble/e-Builder, AnalyticOwl), build platforms from scratch for companies with domain expertise and no internal engineering (IBHS), and staff senior engineers into existing teams to fill specific gaps or handle surge capacity. The verticals listed above are our deepest proof, but we build for any domain where our technology expertise applies.
Partnerships
What official technology partnerships does Sigma Solve hold?
We hold certified partnership status with the following platforms:
nopCommerce Gold Partner Snowflake Partner Microsoft Partner (Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform) Salesforce Partner Shopify Plus Partner AWS Partner
These are not cosmetic badges. Partnership status gives clients priority support access, direct connection to partner engineering contacts, access to pre-release features, and in some cases co-funded implementation credits. When you hit a platform-level issue, we call our partner engineering contact directly, not a generic support queue.
What does nopCommerce Gold Partner status mean for clients?
Gold Partner is the highest tier in the nopCommerce partner program. Our developers are core contributors to the open-source project, not simply users of it. This gives clients:
- Direct escalation path to the nopCommerce core team for platform-level issues
- Access to pre-release features and roadmap visibility
- Engineers who have built production nopCommerce stores processing millions in GMV
- Custom plugin and theme development built to platform standards by people who know the codebase deeply
Typical engagement types include new store builds, migrations from Magento/WooCommerce/BigCommerce, B2B implementations with complex pricing rules, multi-vendor marketplace builds, and ERP integration (Business Central, NetSuite).
What does your Snowflake partnership cover?
Our certified Snowflake engineers work on Snowflake engagements daily, not generalists assigned to fill a seat. We have delivered Snowflake data platform work for enterprise clients including Siemens (100TB+ telemetry at global scale) and have active engagements across Pisces Healthcare, Aerotechnic-Harmony, and AnalyticOwl. The partnership gives our clients access to Snowflake's partner engineering team directly for platform escalations, priority support queues, and early access to features including Cortex AI, Snowpark, and Document AI capabilities.
What does your Microsoft partnership cover?
Our Microsoft partnership spans the full stack, Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP), Azure and Azure Fabric (cloud and data platform), and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate). We are not a reseller, we are an implementation and customization partner, which means our team stays with you through go-live and beyond. We have built five proprietary Business Central add-ons, delivered BC implementations across multiple industries, and modernized numerous Dynamics GP and NAV installations to Business Central. For clients on Azure, we also cover advanced Fabric data pipelines, Azure Document Intelligence, and Azure OpenAI integrations.
What does your Shopify Plus partnership offer?
As a Shopify Plus Partner, we have built stores processing millions in GMV and have deep experience across custom theme development (Liquid), headless commerce builds (Hydrogen/Oxygen), Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Flow automation, Shopify Markets for international expansion, and custom public/private app development. Common engagements include migrations from Magento 1/2, WooCommerce, and legacy custom platforms; headless storefront builds; multi-channel strategy (online store, POS, social commerce); and conversion rate optimization retainers.
Security & Compliance
What security and compliance certifications does Sigma Solve hold?
Sigma Solve maintains the following compliance postures across our organization and engagements:
SOC 2, HIPAA (all US healthcare engagements), UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018, NHS DSPT & DTAC, DCB0129/0160 (clinical safety)
We do not treat compliance as an afterthought or a post-build checkbox. Every healthcare platform is architected for HIPAA compliance from sprint one.
What is your policy on AI tools and client data security?
We use AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of our engineering workflow, monitored with our own internal benchmarking tools. For clients with compliance requirements around AI tooling, regulated industries, government-adjacent clients, or clients with specific IP concerns, we address this upfront:
- Full transparency on which tools are in use and where
- Configuration adjusted to fit your compliance requirements before coding begins
- No proprietary business logic passed to external AI models without your explicit sign-off
- AI tooling policy confirmed in writing as part of project initiation
How do you handle cloud security for enterprise deployments?
Our cloud security posture scales to the compliance context of each client. Examples from live engagements:
NHS / UK healthcare
AWS London-region data residency, ECS/EKS containers, RDS Multi-AZ with encrypted storage, CloudFront + WAF, Secrets Manager, 99.9% uptime SLA, UK GDPR compliant throughout.
Government contractors
Cloudflare enterprise stack, Browser Isolation, Data Loss Prevention, Magic Firewall with DDoS protection, Zero Trust Network Access for server access.
US regulated financial services
SOC 2-aligned Azure or AWS architecture, Okta/Entra SSO, full audit trails with correlation IDs, AppInsights telemetry.
Healthcare SaaS multi-tenant
Tenant-isolated data environments, RBAC with field- level permissions, BAA-ready configurations from day one.
Who owns the code and intellectual property built during a project?
Clients retain full ownership of all code, architecture, and work product created during a Sigma Solve engagement. There are no licensing fees, no platform lock-in, and no dependency on Sigma Solve to continue using what we built. Our engagements include full documentation and structured offboarding so your team or a future partner can maintain and extend the work without friction.
AI & Automation
How does Sigma Solve approach AI, is this generic consulting or specific solutions?
We do not sell generic AI consulting. We sell solutions to specific industry problems, and we deliver them faster and more reliably using our portfolio of reusable AI Accelerators.
My organization has compliance restrictions on AI tooling. Can you still work with us?
Yes. We address AI tooling policies as a standard part of every project initiation, not an afterthought. For clients with restrictions (regulated industries, government-adjacent work, specific IP requirements), we configure our approach to fit your requirements before a single line of code is written. The benefit model adjusts accordingly, and everything is documented. The question we ask in the first discovery call: "Does your organization have any policies or compliance requirements around AI tooling usage in software development?" We don't wait for you to bring it up.
We've tried AI before and it didn't reach production. Why would this be different?
Failed AI projects almost always trace to the same root causes: the data model wasn't right, metrics weren't pre-computed, security and access controls weren't designed in, or the model was scoped for demo conditions rather than production data. We start every AI engagement with a structured discovery phase, reviewing your data model, identifying pre-computable metrics, validating feasibility on real (not sample) data, and delivering a fixed-cost implementation roadmap before a single line of production code is written. The discovery deliverable is a risk assessment you can act on. If it's not feasible at production scale, we tell you that before you spend money on a build.
Engagement Models
What engagement models does Sigma Solve offer?
We offer four primary product engineering engagement models, plus flexible commercial arrangements:
Dedicated Team
An engineering unit embedded in your product organization long-term, operating on your tools, methodology, and standups. Best for SaaS companies and product companies where roadmap is outpacing capacity.
Staff Augmentation
One or more senior engineers who slot into your existing team to fill a specific skill gap or bandwidth surge. No project management overhead from our side.
Application Development
We act as your full technology organization and build a product or platform from scratch (BA, PM, developers, QA, DevOps).
Application Modernization
We rebuild your legacy system (VB6, VB.NET, desktop ERP) as a modern web application without disrupting your existing workflows.
We've tried offshore development before and it didn't work. Why would Sigma Solve be different?
The most common offshore failure mode has three root causes: junior developers assigned after senior people sell the engagement, communication gaps created by misaligned time zones, and a team that runs parallel to yours instead of integrating with it. Our model is different by design:
Senior Engineers Only: The people you meet are the people doing the work.
Your tools, your methodology: We operate in your Jira, your GitHub, your Slack; we attend your standups.
EST timezone Overlap: Available during your business hours for standups, PR reviews, and real-time collaboration.
Long-term Embedded Model: Our teams become indistinguishable from your own; the e-Builder relationship has run for over three years because it operates that way.
GCC & Global Capability Centers
What is a GCC and what does Sigma Solve offer?
A Global Capability Center (GCC) is a permanently owned offshore team in India, not outsourced to a vendor, but hired, managed, and owned by your company. Sigma Solve's GCC practice uses a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model: we build and operate the India team on your behalf, handling hiring, onboarding, HR, compliance, and infrastructure, then transfer full ownership to you on an agreed timeline. You get experienced operator speed and quality, with a structured path to full ownership. You don't need to set up an Indian entity, figure out local hiring law, or manage operational infrastructure from day one.
Which industries and functions are GCCs most relevant for?
GCCs are appropriate across all our verticals, particularly when a company is building a permanent offshore presence rather than a project-based engagement. Relevant scenarios:
- Logistics operators scaling dispatch and operations teams without proportional headcount growth in the US.
- Healthcare companies expanding billing, RCM, or clinical admin capacity, our India operations are HIPAA-adjacent from day one.
- E-commerce companies thinking about building a data or operations team in India.
- SaaS companies building a permanent offshore engineering organization alongside their US product team.
How does a GCC differ from standard staff augmentation?
Staff augmentation is a vendor relationship, Sigma Solve provides engineers who work on your project, but we remain the employer and you pay us. It's the right model for project capacity, skill gaps, and flexibility. A GCC is ownership, the team works for you permanently, with Sigma Solve handling the operational infrastructure during the build and transition period. It's the right model when you've made a strategic decision to build a permanent offshore presence and want to do it without the 12-18 month pain of establishing it yourself. The two models often coexist: staff augmentation while the GCC is being built, then transition to full GCC ownership as the team matures.
Delivery & Process
What development methodology do you follow?
We follow Agile methodology, adapting to the specific methodology the client's team already runs (Scrum, Kanban, lean). For dedicated teams, we integrate fully into the client's existing process - their tools, their standups, their PR review cycles. For application development projects, we use structured sprint delivery with weekly demos, UAT releases twice a month, and clear acceptance criteria on every story. We do not do big-bang reveals. You review working software continuously throughout the engagement.
How do you handle quality control?
Quality control is built into every engagement from sprint one, not added at the end. All code goes through SonarQube static analysis, automated QA testing (Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium depending on stack), PR code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines before anything ships to production. For modernization projects, we maintain a two-week UAT window per sprint and mark a sprint complete only when 95% of reported issues are resolved. The legacy system stays live until each module is validated and approved, nothing goes dark prematurely.
What are your support SLAs?
- P1 (application down) - First response within 1 business hour. Immediate escalation to senior engineering, notification to stakeholders, root cause analysis delivered.
- P2 (critical business impact) - First response within 4 business hours. Same escalation procedures as P1.
- P3 (moderate business impact) - First response within 8 business hours. Continuous support during business hours with a documented resolution timeline.
Post-launch hypercare periods (such as the 4-week hypercare included in our modernization engagements) operate P1-P4 SLA tiers with dedicated escalation paths defined in the SOW.
What time zones does your team cover?
We deploy teams to the client's timezone to ensure proper communication and collaboration. For US clients, we maintain deliberate EST timezone overlap, engineers are available during your business hours for standups, PR reviews, and same-day unblocking. For UK/NHS clients, we operate within GMT/BST business hours. We do not operate a hand-over-the-wall model where work is thrown across time zones without real overlap.
